  • BMD® 50 (bacitracin methylene disalicylate) is a medicated feed additive that controls swine dysentery associated with Brachyspira hyodysenteriae in pigs up to 250 pounds, and controls clostridial enteritis caused by Clostridium perfringens in suckling piglets when fed to sows from 14 days before through 21 days after farrowing on premises with a history of clostridial scours. Research indicates that by controlling C. perfringens in suckling pigs, BMD 50 can decrease morbidity and mortality and improve weaning weights (Flowers et al., Swine Vet 2007:163-165).

  • Lincomix® (lincomycinis a medicated feed additive approved for the reduction in the severity of effects of respiratory disease associated with Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, for the control of ileitis caused by Lawsonia intracellularis and for the treatment and control of swine dysentery. Lincomix is the only U.S. Type A medicated article with an approved claim for M. hyopneumoniae, which is one of the costliest diseases in pork production.

  • Terramycin® Soluble Powder (oxytetracycline hydrochloride) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic for the control and treatment of bacterial enteritis caused by E. coli and Salmonella choleraesuis and bacterial pneumonia caused by Pasturella multocida. Also used in breeding swine to reduce Leptospirosis caused by Leptospira ponmona.

  • Triamulox Liquid Concentrate (tiamulin hydrogen fumarate) is an effective antibiotic for the treatment of swine dysentery associated with Brachyspira hyodysenteriae and swine pneumonia due to Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae when administered in the drinking water for five consecutive days.
